Mission　教育理念

Our mission is to provide learning opportunities that reflect the individual goals and interests of everyone who wishes to study Japanese.

For more than twenty years, I have been dedicated to teaching the Japanese language. In recent years, Japan has attracted growing interest around the world—not only as a travel destination, but also for its rich history, culture, literature, anime, and cuisine. As a result, the number of people wishing to learn Japanese continues to grow.

At the same time, however, the situation in Belgium, where I live, has become increasingly challenging. While the demand for Japanese language education is rising, government budget cuts have led to a steady decline in the number of schools offering Japanese courses. As a result, opportunities to pursue learning that is not directly related to vocational education are becoming increasingly limited.

Against this background, our school was established to provide a welcoming learning environment for everyone—from those who wish to enjoy Japanese as a hobby to those who aspire to study it more seriously. We are committed to supporting each learner according to their own goals and interests, so that they can continue learning with confidence and enjoyment.

Through the study of Japanese, we hope our students will deepen their understanding of Japanese culture, build meaningful connections with Japan, and discover experiences and perspectives that enrich their lives.

Guided by this mission, our school provides Japanese language education based on the following principles.

本校の使命は、日本語を学びたいと願うすべての人に、それぞれの目的や関心に応じた学びの機会を提供することです。

私はこれまで20年以上にわたり、日本語教育に携わってきました。近年、日本は旅行先としてだけでなく、歴史、文化、文学、アニメ、食文化など、多彩な魅力によって世界中の人々の関心を集めています。それに伴い、日本語を学びたいと考える方も年々増えています。

しかし、私の暮らすベルギーでは、日本語学習への需要が高まる一方で、教育予算の削減により、日本語講座を提供する教育機関は減少しつつあります。学びたいという意欲があっても、職業教育に直結しない学びの機会は年々減少しています。

本校は、このような状況の中で、日本語を趣味として楽しみたい方から、本格的に学びたい方まで、それぞれの目標や関心に寄り添い、安心して学び続けられる環境を提供したいと考えています。そして、日本語を通して日本文化への理解を深め、日本との新たなつながりを築き、その学びが人生をより豊かなものにすることを願っています。

この使命のもと、本校は次の方針に基づいて日本語教育を行っています。

1. Using the textbook GENKI, students learn Japanese grammar while gaining an understanding of how the Japanese language works. Rather than relying on memorization alone, we encourage learners to discover the underlying structure of the language, fostering both the enjoyment of learning and intellectual curiosity.

日本語とはどのような言語なのかを理解しながら、教科書『GENKI』を用いて文法を学びます。単なる暗記ではなく、日本語の仕組みを理解することで、学ぶ楽しさや知的な好奇心を育みます。

2. Using the textbook "Irodori" (free), students put what they have learned into practice through real-life situations. The goal is to develop practical Japanese communication skills that can be used when traveling in Japan or interacting with Japanese people in everyday and professional settings.

教科書『いろどり』を使用し、学んだ文法を実際の場面で使う練習をします。旅行や仕事で日本人と交流する際に、実際に役立つ日本語表現を身につけることを目指します。

3. Our classes go beyond language learning. By exploring Japanese culture, history, and other aspects of Japan, we aim to help students develop a broader understanding of the country while creating a classroom where ideas and perspectives can be shared freely.

日本語学習だけにとどまらず、日本の文化や歴史などについても学び、日本を多面的に理解し、自由に意見を交わせる授業を目指します。

This course sets it apart from the existing education system and therefore, no official certificates will be issued to prove the learners' Japanese language proficiency. I aim to allow learners of all ages to enjoy learning Japanese as a form of lifelong learning. 

本コースは既存の教育制度から一線を画すものであり、従って、公的に学習者の日本語能力を証明する一切の証書は発行しません。全ての年齢層の学習者が生涯学習の一つとして日本語学習を楽しめることを目指します。

Achievement Goals　到達目標

1. Develop listening comprehension and speaking skills to be able to communicate with people in plain Japanese while traveling.

Target Learners　主な対象者

1. Those who want to learn Japanese as a hobby.
   趣味として日本語を学習したい方。

2. Those who do not have a school near their place of residence that they can attend.
   居住地近隣に通学できる教育機関がない方。

3. Learners who are overly stressed in their evaluation work, such as regular exams and homework.
   定期テストや宿題など、評価のための作業に過度のストレスを感じている学習者。

4. Learners who have doubts about orthodox classes that only handle textbooks.
   教科書をこなすだけのオーソドックスな授業に疑問を感じている学習者。

Course Information　講座内容　　

Class Schedule (2026–2027)　開講クラス（2026 - 27年度）

• Morning class　午前クラス: Monday, 10:00–12:00　月曜日　10時〜12時

• Evening classes　夜間クラス: Monday and Thursday, 19:30–21:30　月曜日と木曜日　19時半〜21時半

*Central European Time - UTC+1

For the 2026–2027 academic year, the following classes are planned:

• 1. First-year Japanese (Monday morning)　一年生クラス（月曜日午前）

  2. First-year Japanese (Monday evening)　一年生クラス（月曜日夜間）

  3. One Thursday evening class (either First-year or Second-year, depending on demand)　木曜夜間クラス（要望・申し込み状況により一年生または二年生クラス）

• If sufficient interest is received, an additional Second-year class may also be opened.　希望者が一定数集まった場合は、2年生クラスも開講します。

• If you have studied Japanese before and would like to assess your current level, please feel free to use this test. Please note that your class may be adjusted depending on the test scores of other learners. (Level Test 1/Level Test 2/Level Test 3)

Language of Instruction

Classes are conducted in Japanese and English. As students progress, the amount of Japanese used in class gradually increases.
授業は日本語と英語を用いて行います。学習が進むにつれて、日本語を使う機会を少しずつ増やしていきます。

Learning Policy　学習方針

• We place the emphasis on communication rather than writing.　書くことよりも、「聞く・話す・読む」力を重視します。

• Writing is used mainly to help students learn hiragana, katakana, and kanji.　文字は、ひらがな・カタカナ・漢字を覚えるために書きます。

• The goal for kanji is to recognize and understand them rather than to write them from memory.　漢字は、書けることよりも読んで意味を理解できることを目標とします。

• There are no formal tests or examinations.　定期テストや試験は実施しません。

Class Size　開講条件

Classes normally open with a minimum of six students.　However, as 2026–2027 is our first academic year, this requirement may be waived.　
通常、クラスは受講者6名以上で開講します。ただし、2026–2027年度は開校初年度のため、この条件にかかわらず開講する予定です。

Tuition Fees　授業料

• €300 per semester (18 lessons / 36 hours, approximately €8.3 per hour)
  一学期300ユーロ（全18回・36時間、約8.3ユーロ／時間）

• Tuition fees must be paid in full before the beginning of each semester.
  授業料は、各学期の開始前に一括でお支払いいただきます。

• Tuition fees are non-refundable, except in exceptional circumstances.
  お支払いいただいた授業料は、特別な事情がある場合を除き、返金いたしかねます。

• If you are unable to attend a class, you can catch up by watching the recorded lesson. Recordings are available for one year after each class. Please note that make-up classes are not provided.
  やむを得ず欠席された場合は、授業の録画をご視聴いただくことで学習内容を補っていただけます。録画は授業実施日から1年間ご視聴いただけます。なお、振替授業は実施しておりません。

• One trial lesson is available free of charge before enrollment.
  ご入会前に、一回に限り無料で授業をご体験いただけます。
